Death of a Lover (A Barbara O'Grady Mystery: 3) ReviewIf you have read anything else written by Sharon Rowse in the last four years, it has to be obvious to you how much she is developing as an author. I have read all of her published works and I have to say that in this her most recent novel you can see so clearly how deep her characters have become, how strong her plot is and how delicious and considered and real her dialogue is. You veritably see these things developing right before your eyes. I found many of the diverse characters in her most recent Barbara O'Grady novel to be psychologically fascinating, sympathetic or terrifying. The dialogue between her characters is, in turn, fast-paced, deep, disturbing, sensitive, funny or thought provoking. The disturbed nature of one of her primary characters is what can only be described as bone chillingly cold. Visions of Dorian Gray danced in my head when I read Death of a Lover. I honestly have to say that I cannot wait to read the next installment in this series. This is not formulaic female P.I. writing; reading each volume of this series by Sharon Rowse is like participating in the events of the life of a very close friend. A must read.Death of a Lover (A Barbara O'Grady Mystery: 3) OverviewFailed artist turned PI Barbara O'Grady has a chance to re-visit that failed career--but does she want to?
