True Canadian War Stories ReviewThis book is exactly what its title is. You wouldn't expect much out of a book like this, just a few stories, right? No, this book goes behind the lines of what you can learn from a normal history book. Written by Canadian men and women who helped the war effort there are a total of 61 short stories in this book. Although, most of the stories are from World War II there are also stories from World War I and Korea. This book goes from Vimy Ridge to the beaches of Dieppe, German POW camps and everywhere in between. There are a lot of stories about life during the war in England and also on Canadian bases before shipping overseas.
I recommend this book for anyone interested in personal accounts during the war rather than the usual textbook style stuff you've heard a hundred times before.True Canadian War Stories Overview
