The Vivid Air: A Memoir ReviewI have had the pleasure of knowing the author for forty years. I thought I really knew him but upon finishing 'The Vivid Air', I realize how little I actually did know about Sukumar Nayar. So much about his life was fate and fortune - had he not decided to further his education, accept a posting in Uganda, continued his studies in England, resurrected his interest in and love for theatre, leave Africa for Canada.......he might well have lived out his life in India which would have been our loss. His stories are varied and mesmerizing. Time and space have required careful selection of anecdotes.
