Financial Statement Analysis: The Investor's Self-Study to Interpreting & Analyzing Financial Statements, Revised Edition ReviewThe title of this book is mis-leading and the author missed a golden opportunity to write a book that truly is a self-study guide to interpreting and analyzing financial statements. This book appears to be written by an accountant for accountants - it goes into excessive detail without ever addressing the needs that an investor has. I was looking for a relatively simple, straightforward book that addresses stock selection on the basis of information gleaned from financial statements. This book claims on its back cover to "show stock market investors how to profit from the knowledge of professionals,... " It doesn't do that. It goes into endless, minute detail about statements but never relates it to stock selection.
