Global Business 2009 Update ReviewThis is a good book written by Peng, it covers Global Business. However my biggest complaint is that Peng is profiting off each and every update he writes. For example the difference between the 2007 Global Business book and the 2009 Update of Global business book was 30 pages in the front of the book where he updates the past couple years. The rest of the book, 575 pages, is all the same. And guess what, he is now coming out with a 2010 Update Global business book. That is listed to contain 636 pages. So whats the difference between the 636 pages of 2009's book and the 2010 book, it will be the 30 pages in the front and thats it. Yet it cost students $175.00 to $200.00 a book. And since he has an update coming out, of course college bookstores will not purchase the book back from the students. Instead of making the update available on a website, Peng publishes a new book. More money for Peng and his publishers and in todays society so many people are trying to make it. When you see this kind of waste and abuse by an Author, it frustrates me as an educator. I try to always be aware of the cost of books we ask students to purchase. I can find another book that my students can use that will not blow their budget.
